Denny Coughlin

Denny Coughlin, President, School Bus Training LLC, has been actively involved in school bussing at the local, state, and national level for 45 years. He spent a long career with the Minneapolis Public Schools as a mechanic, and 25 years as Fleet Manager. He has carried his knowledge of school buses to the fire and rescue, and law enforcement industry, training over 16,000 emergency professionals, and LE, destroying over 200 school buses in training. Denny has presented over 100 sessions at STN conferences and multiples of that at other national and state conferences in the past 40 years. He presents on numerous topics concerning nearly all areas of the school bus industry. Denny manages his consulting services that are available throughout the country addressing, shop and transportation department evaluations, training for all transporation professionals, and expert witness services. Denny has written and teaches many training programs that are used at the national level throughout the industry.
Denny is retired and welcomes the opportunity to advance the industry by helping school transportation departments become more safety orientated, efficient, and improving the culture of the departments.
