Katrina Morris, Transportation Director for the West Shore Educational Service District and the Executive Director for the Michigan Association for Pupil Transportation (MAPT). Katrina has worked closely with the Mason County Emergency Manager, law enforcement from the Michigan State Police, Mason County Sheriffs Dept. and Ludington Police Department in the development of the Mason County School Safety Planning Team. This team has been instrumental in implementing changes throughout our school districts that bring transportation safety to the forefront of our communities as well as across the State. Katrina has been a driving force in bringing the unseen needs of transportation staff to the forefront of the education community. She has made great strides in changing the culture of transportation for the better. Katrina has organized multiple professional development trainings for school bus drivers throughout her local school districts as well as drivers from around the state. She continually champions the cause of bettering transportation for students' safety. Katrina has recently completed the second recording of Proactive Response Training for School Bus Drivers Curriculum that is currently being used to train transportation supervisors and school bus drivers throughout Michigan. Most recently, she has been involved at the state level with Representatives and Senators, in an ongoing effort to stop the illegal passing of school buses.
